Picture of Japanese police
Japan is one of the safest country
in the world. Research shows a number of factors that proves crime rates in
Japan are very low. This is because of violence prohibition in Japanese
culture. Things that causes anger and aggression are emabrassing things for
Japanese society.
The security of a country certainly
can’t be seperated from the role of the police. What is the difference between
police in Indonesia and Japan? It’s very interesting to discuss especially if
you want to live in Japan. So here is about the Japanese police:
1.
First Impression
If you see the police in Japan it
is very different from Indonesia. Japanese policies may seems ineffective in
threating criminals. How can this impression arises? Yup, you will see that
policies in Japan use bicycle or small car to patrol.
If you think that
Japanese policies are ineffective then you are wrong. Police in Japan has a
great strength. They can detain someone for 23 days for questioning without
accusation, without guarantees offered and without legal representation, wah it
sounds weird right? Police in Japan believes that most of the defendants in
Japan admitted their mistakes after being interrogated.
2.
The funniest police
Japan is known as a friendly
person. Japanese people like funny things. In Japan funny characters are needed
as advertisements to sell everything. This also affects the police in Japan,
every police in Japan has a unique and funny logo character.
The best known
police character comes from Tokyo Metrapolitan Police Departement “Pipo-kun”.

There are so many policies in Japan
According to the information I read
you can meet the police anywhere in Tokyo. Police in Japan will handle the
slightest problem, for example a lost bicycle. If you break the rules of
cycling parking, bicycle will usually be confiscated. You can pay a fine to get
your bike back, because crime rates is very low in Japan so the police
attention much about crime in cycling but it’s not like crime in Indonesia, the
criminal just because break the rules of cycling.

If you don’t know the direction you
can ask the police. Roads in Japan are narrow and winding, address writing in
Japan is very complex usually there is no street name. Japanese people often
get lost so it is very common to them to ask the police. Japanese police has
map and they will find your destination immediately.
The positive things in Japan is
that the citizens are very comfortable around the police.
